COMESA-LLPI hopes to welcome new members after rebrand

The COMESA-Leather and Leather Products Institute (LLPI) has announced it is to change its name to the Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI).

The rebrand was approved by COMESA at its latest Policy Organs meeting, which was held in Lusaka, Zambia in November. 

The decision has been made “to enhance its global outlook and to widen its mandate in line with continental dynamics”. 

It will also allow non-COMESA countries to join the organisation in order to develop their leather industries.
