Kenyan president opens leather fair

COMESA/LLPI (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa and Leather Products Institute) sponsored nine leather SMEs from five member states to participate in the Zambia International Trade Fair 2015.

Companies from Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Zambia displayed respective products, hoping to increase exports.

The fair was opened by Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of Kenya, who said that there is need to open up markets and remove trade barriers to create employment for young people.
