Kenya’s biggest tannery on track for summer 2016 launch

The tannery expected to be Kenya’s biggest will start operations next June, according to industrialization secretary Dr. Wilson Songa.

Ewaso Nyiro Leather Factory will produce 4,000 tonnes of hides and skins and could provide jobs to 1,600 locals.

The building work is 60% complete and will source skins domestically as well as from neighbouring countries, reported local press.
