First-class plane seats inspire Lincoln’s leather concept

US carmaker Lincoln has unveiled a leather seat concept it describes as “the next frontier”, with  inspiration from first-class aviation travel.

“The next frontier to serve the luxury automotive client is a seat that conforms to and supports the body, a seat that feels as if it were personally tailored for you each time,” said Johnathan Line, advanced seat innovation supervisor at Lincoln.

Seats engineers studied first-class and private airplane seats. Lisa Senters-McDermott, CEO of Jet Senters Aviation, believes luxury drivers will welcome the influence of high-end aviation seating.  “Private aviation caters to no-compromise clients,” she said.
