Magna expands in China

Magna is opening a seating manufacturing facility in Taizhou, China, to supply Geely's Volvo Car Group.

The 5,200-square-metre facility will produce complete seating systems and the facility will be completed by the middle of this year.

Taizhou marks the fifth manufacturing facility for Magna Seating and the 33rd for Magna in China.

Mike Bisson, president of Magna Seating, said: "This new facility helps us support a new customer and expands our footprint in China, both of which are key to growing our global seating business."
