Lincoln praises its exclusive Bridge of Weir leather
Luxury automaker Lincoln has sung the praises of Bridge of Weir’s new Deepsoft leather, which features in the newly launched 2015 Lincoln MKC and will be used for future Lincoln vehicles.

Lincoln's relationship with the tannery dates back to the 1950s, and was renewed six years ago with the introduction of the Lincoln MKS full-size sedan.

"Feel is a very important part of the luxury car experience, and Deepsoft leather gives our customers a luxury feel that they can only get in the MKC," said Jenny Kubinec, Lincoln colour and material designer.

Deepsoft is semi-aniline, non-embossed and naturally milled, showing the natural grain of each piece. It is dried for 16 hours, with the slow process helping to create its soft, buttery feel.

"Deepsoft leather is unique from any product we've ever made, truly a luxury cue exclusive to Lincoln," said Ray Torrance, Lincoln account manager for Bridge of Weir in Troy, Michigan.

Bridge of Weir is a wholly owned subsidiary of Scottish Leather Group and has serviced the auto industry since 1905.
