Carmakers report record US sales for September
Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Kia and Subaru have all reported record sales growth in North America for September.

Porsche Cars North America sold a record 4,424 vehicles, up 22.7% over September 2014.

Mercedes-Benz USA had a record September with 32,000 units sold, an increase of 6% over last year.

"Record September sales fuelled the best-ever third-quarter results in our history," said Stephen Cannon, CEO of MBUSA. "The robust demand for SUVs continues with the strong performance of our new GLE and GLE-Coupe."

Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 4% to 26,608. "There's no doubt about the strength of the US economy and that people continue to buy new cars as evidenced by the BMW record sales result in September," said Ludwig Willisch, CEO of BMW of North America.

Subaru reported 53,070 vehicle sales for September 2015, a 27.8% increase over September 2014 and the best result in its history

Kia Motors America's momentum continued with record third quarter sales, including a September sales record of 49,820 units, a 22.6% increase over the same period last year.
