Asia drives Mercedes-Benz to record sales year

The number of units sold was 0.9% higher than the previous year. It marked the company’s eighth consecutive record year.
The strong year was driven by Mercedes-Benz’s success in the Asia-Pacific region, especially in its core Chinese market. Sales in this region increased 7.8% year-on-year to more than 943,000 vehicles.
The news was less positive from other regions, with sales declines recorded in Europe (-2.3%) and the NAFTA region (-5.6%).
