Mercedes-Benz has announced that it sold a total of 198,187 cars in May, 2.3% more than in the same month of last year and the most it has ever sold in May. 

It also marked the 63rd consecutive month that the company has achieved its best-ever unit sales. 

In the first five months of 2018, Mercedes-Benz sold 985,063 units, an improvement of 5.4% compared to the same period of last year. 

This strong growth was led by the Asia-Pacific region, where Mercedes-Benz saw its sales increase 13.6% year on year for the period from January to May.
