Sixty consecutive months of record sales for Mercedes-Benz

13/03/2018
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it sold 163,580 vehicles in February, an increase of 6.3% compared to the same month of 2017.

The company said this was the 60th consecutive month in which it delivered more vehicles worldwide than in the prior-year month.

In February 2018, deliveries to Europe increased 1.8%. This came despite a drop of 2.8% in unit sales to Germany. This disappointing result was offset by record months in Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Portugal and Poland.

Unit sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the Asia-Pacific region increased 12.9% year on year in February, driven by strong performance in China (+18.6%), South Korea (+8.5%), India (+25.7%) and Malaysia (+32.1%).

The company revealed it also delivered more vehicles than ever before in February in the NAFTA region. The number of units sold in this region increased 2.4%, driven by an increase of 22.1% in unit sales in Mexico.
