Another tannery joins CSCB initiative

“Coming sees CSCB as a major domestic and international advance for the leather segment. Companies that conquer the certification will have a significant market differentiation,” said Márcio Bittar, director of Coming.
The Goiás-based tannery will now begin working by the 173 indicators that govern the programme, which was launched by the CICB, Brazil’s main industry body. These cover criteria such as water and energy consumption, restricted substances and waste management.
“We want to promote our work in a very clear way to the interested parties and compare our performance with the benchmarking offered by the programme”, added Mr Bittar.
