2017 CICB Sustainability Forum to take place in August

Brazil’s main tanning industry association CICB has announced that the central theme for its 2017 Sustainability Forum will be ‘Disruptive Businesses for a Disruptive World’.

The event, which comes under the umbrella of the Brazilian Leather Sustainability Certification (CSCB) programme, will be held on August 10 in Novo Hamburgo. Its main sponsor for 2017 is leather chemicals manufacturer Stahl. 

The forum will be preceded by a meeting of the ABQTIC, the Brazilian Association of Leather Industry Technicians and Chemists.

"At the Forum, we want to present cases from the industry of innovative processes, with results that have already been consolidated, and also how these examples can be positive for other businesses to grow in their own development of social, economic, and environmental activities", said José Fernando Bello, executive president of CICB. 

CICB said will announce the full programme for the event, including speakers and panellists, soon.
