Aston Martin reveals opportunities for leather graduates
27/02/2015
Industry representatives - including Burberry, Lear Corporation, Church’s, Horace Batten Bootmakers, Pittards, Scottish Leather Group, Smit & Zoon, STAHL, Lanxess, BLC Leather Technology Centre and SATRA - gave talks or exhibited their wares.
Rachel Garwood, director of the Institute of Creative Leather Technologies, said: “This was an incredibly valuable event, not only for leather students but also those from other disciplines within the university, such as fashion, design, business and marketing.
“Students were given an insight into a wide range of employment opportunities, all requiring leather knowledge, within top companies and brands. Given the current global demand for graduates with leather knowledge, together with being the only university in Europe to offer this knowledge at higher-education level, we are ideally placed to add that extra unique edge to graduate CVs.”
