Japanese leathergoods spotlighted in Shanghai

Japan Leather and Leather Goods Industries Association (JLIA) recently staged two events showcasing Japanese leathergoods in Shanghai.

The first four-day pop-up was held under the Showroom Shanghai umbrella at Shanghai Exhibition Centre, with the second taking place at K11 Art Mall in the city’s upmarket Xintiandi area, again over a period of four days.

Participating brands including Artphere, Atelier Nuu, E-cube, Regal, Wildswans and Haruta all showed a wide variety of leather footwear, handbags, belts, small leathergoods and other articles.

Local media singled out E-cube’s display for its theme of environmental protection, with the company emphasising its commitment to minimising leather waste.
