Japan: twist on Guidi horsehide boots meets swift demand
22/02/2022
The men’s back-zip boots, made with a horsehide upper and deerskin lining complete with welted midsoles, retailed for just under ¥365,000 (roughly $3,170) and were available in three colourways: beige, dark brown and black. However, they are already completely sold out on Undercover’s website.
The model’s design hinted at its roots in the Guidi studio with gold branded zippers, whereas cobranded debossed insoles gave prominence to the Tokyo-headquartered label’s own, typically punk- and streetwear-influenced, hand.
