The China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has reported that a recent fire in a factory building belonging to Maogan Luggage Accessories Company in a village near Baigou in Baoding, Hebei province, recently claimed the lives of six people. 

The city of Baoding has requested an investigation into the incident and all related enterprise safety issues in the area. 

It is thought that an explosion occurred due to the ignition of combustible gas linked to an aging circuit.
