Chinese luxury platform to open 300+ locations
Beijing-headquartered luxury e-commerce site Secoo reportedly plans to open more than 300 offline spaces in China going forward, beginning September 25 with the unveiling of a physical Shanghai location.
The company will achieve this as a result of direct franchises and joint partnerships with Chinese real estate groups including Wanda, a press release said.
Secoo began as a platform for pre-owned luxury goods in 2008 and, according to the e-tailer, now has over 40 million registered users, many of whom are high-net-worth individuals.
The platform’s partners include Prada, Tod’s, Sergio Rossi, Salvatore Ferragamo and high-end Italian fashion retailer Luisa Via Roma.
