Trumpler marks its 150th anniversary
Leather chemicals manufacturer Trumpler held a series of events at the start of June in Worms, Germany, where its headquarters are, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the company.

It was founded in 1868 as a manufacturer of auxiliaries for the leather industry, initially supplying the local leather industry with fatty substances obtained from the fish industry. It is now a global chemicals supplier with subsidiaries in key leather and paper markets, including China, Italy, Spain, France, Mexico and Brazil.

"By combining tradition and innovation, Trumpler has been successful to this day. We celebrated this with customers, business partners and friends of the company,” managing directors Hein Vugs and Joachim Müller-Damerau said in a statement.

The anniversary celebrations included a gathering of employees, customers, suppliers and owners of the company at Trumpler’s premises in Worms. They were treated to company tours and to tours of the city.

On June 8, the final celebration took place under the motto ‘In the flow of time’. It consisted of a boat cruise on the river Rhine aboard the ‘MS Queen Silvia’. Trumpler invited 280 guests on the round trip from Worms to Heidelberg.
