Ms Banti graduated with a BSc in Leather Technology from the Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT) at Northampton in July, and was nominated for the award by ICLT staff.
Arianna spent a week in Germany processing leathers and investigating fatliquors and their properties. The visit included a tour of the production facilities and historic Heidelberg.
Ms Banti is from the tanning district of Santa Croce sull‘Arno in Italy, and now works at family tannery Camaleonte, which produces calfskin and bovine leather for footwear and luxury leather goods.
Rachel Garwood, director of the ICLT, said: “Trumpler has supported ICLT for many years. This award is highly regarded by ICLT students and adds an excellent accolade to their CV."
