Leather chemicals manufacturer Trumpler recently hosted a visit to its facilities in Germany by a group of tanners from New Zealand. With Trumpler’s agent in New Zealand, NPN Limited, the company invited Lowe Group, New Zealand Light Leathers, Tasman and Wallace to travel to Germany for the visit.

The tour began with a series of trials and presentations at Trumpler’s manufacturing plant in Worms, followed by a trip to the  Freiberg Leather Days conference in Oisterwijk in the Netherlands.

After this, the visitors from New Zealand visited a prominent German tannery and attended specially arranged presentations from SATRA director Christine Powley-Williams and from specialist environmental consultant Jutta Knoedler.

Afterwards, Trumpler’s regional marketing manager, Stephen Trantum, said the meeting had provided a good opportunity for his company to demonstrate its latest technologies, but also to demonstrate its support of the New Zealand leather industry, of its customers there and of NPN Limited.
