Trumpler celebrates international double
Leather chemicals manufacturer Trumpler has celebrated an unusual double: two members of its team are currently leading industry associations in different countries.

Head of global key account management, Martin Heise, was named president of the German Leather Technicians and Chemists Association (VGCT) in 2016 and will remain in office until after the 2019 IULTCS Congress in Dresden.

His colleague, Stephen Trantum, who is Trumpler’s regional marketing manager, is the current president of counterpart organisation the Society of of Leather Technologists and Chemists (SLTC) in his native UK, although his tenure ends at the 2017 SLTC Congress in Northampton on April 22.

Trumpler’s managing director, Hein Vugs, has said it has been a source of pride for the company to support “two of its most internationally recognisable and long-standing employees” in fulfilling these roles. The two have more than 45 years’ service at Trumpler between them.

“Our investment in the time, administrative support, travel and the financial resources required for Martin and Stephen to perform their tasks is significant,” Mr Vugs said, “and we hope that the industry as a whole will be able to benefit from this contribution.”
