Chemical companies pleased to reconnect with Indian customers at IILF

A number of exhibitors at the ongoing India International Leather Fair (IILF), taking place from February 1-3 in Chennai, have told World Leather that the event is as much about connecting with their existing customers in the country as it is about generating new business leads.

These included several leading leather chemical manufacturers, such as Trumpler, Tannin, TFL and Smit & zoon.

As well as sales agents based in India, many companies also brought senior figures in sales and marketing from their headquarters in Europe and the US.

One such company was US-based Atlas, whose President and COO Steve Schroeder is in attendance in Chennai. He explained to World Leather that there has been a noticeable improvement of IILF year on year in the past decade. He listed the exhibition’s size, visitor numbers and the event’s organisation as some of the obvious improvements.
