Among the products was TRUPOFILL BIO-B, recommended for use in short hot floats prior to the addition of fatliquor, but versatile enough to be used in re-chroming and retanning processes. The product is part of the Trumpler BIO range, which uses bio-based chemicals stemming from collagen hydrolysates made from recycled leather shavings. The range is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2017.
Another product introduced to the Indian market for the first time was Resistol HMV, a recent addition to the company’s waterproofing range. It is a waterproofing booster based on functionalised silicones and synthetic raw materials, designed to support and boost the current TRUPOSIST series of products.
Also on the list was TRUPONOL L400, a highly sulfited fatliquor based on high-quality natural fatty substances. Due to its stability to electrolytes, TRUPONOL L400 can be used in chrome and chrome-free tannages and retannages to promote, Trumpler has said, “a uniform inner softness, tight and flat grain characteristics, along with excellent fullness, and pleasant handle”. For its part, TRUPOSYL LL is a fully synthetic fatliquor for the production of all soft leather types.
Finally, TRUPOTAN VF is a replacement syntan developed to replace vegetable tanning agents, especially when improved fastness values are required, while maintaining a full round handle, the company said in the build-up to the Chennai exhibition. It went on to say that TRUPOTAN VF improves the dyeability of crust and imparts a light colour for uniform, clean and brilliant dye shades.
