BMW expands partnership with Montblanc

Montblanc has designed a wristband made from black cowhide leather for BMW’s Activity Key, a wearable car key that dispenses with the need to press a button to unlock the car. BMW said the wristband turns it into a “stylish personal accessory”. It has also designed a key fob with leather insert embossed with the word ‘Montblanc for BMW’.
“Working in partnership with BMW, Montblanc continues to explore new frontiers in wearable technology, finding creative ways to bring together its flair for cutting-edge design and passion for technological innovation,” says Jérôme Lambert, Montblance CEO.
It is the third collaboration between the companies. Montblanc created a collection of customised leathergoods and writing instruments in 2015 for the launch of the BMW 7 Series and a year later released a fountain pen to commemorate BMW’s 100th anniversary.
