BMW passes one million vehicle sales for the year

Across all its brands, the total number of units sold was 1,003,573, an increase of 1.6% compared to the same period of 2017.
The company said this strong performance came despite “volatility” in China due to changes in import duties and a lack of availability of the BMW X3 in the country as it seeks to ramp-up production of this model.
The group’s sales in May were down 2.1% year on year to 204,041 units.
Another strong performer for BMW was its electrified vehicles, which saw a 41% increase in sales during the first five months of 2018.
