Flat sales for BMW in first quarter

15/04/2019
Automotive group BMW posted flat sales for the first quarter of 2019, delivering a total of 605,333 vehicles to customers during the three months.

A best-ever single sales month in March was not enough to drive overall quarterly growth. During March, it delivered 263,319 vehicles to customers, an increase of 2.8% compared to the same month of 2017.

Sales of BMW brand vehicles increased 0.4% year-on-year in the first quarter, while there was a decline of 1.8% for the MINI brand.

The group’s Rolls-Royce brand bagged growth of nearly 50% in the quarter, with a total of 1,206 vehicles delivered worldwide.
