BMW bags record sales in first half of 2018

During the first six months of the year, the company delivered 1,242,507 vehicles to customers, an increase of 1.8% compared to the same period of 2017.
It also secured record sales in June, with sales up 2.7% to 238,920 units worldwide.
“Our strong sales performance in June means we’ve now achieved 35 consecutive quarters of growth and are confident this trend will continue,” said Pieter Nota, the member of the BMW board responsible for sales.
Upon announcing its results, BMW also highlighted the success of its electrified vehicles so far in 2018. In the first six months of the year, deliveries of BMW i, BMW iPerformance and Mini Electric vehicles totalled 60,660, an increase of 42.5% year on year. This came after an increase of 47.6% in electric vehicle sales in June.
