USMEF elects new chairman

Bruce Schmoll will be the chairman of the US Meat Export Federation (USEMF) for 2016-17 following the organisation’s strategic planning conference, which finished on November 4.

Mr Schmoll is a soybean and corn producer from Minnesota, US, and has previously served as president of the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association as well as representing the oilseed producing sector on the USMEF executive committee. 

He succeeds Roel Andriessen, senior vice president for international sales at meat and hide processor Tyson, as chairman.

Also taking on new positions are Dennis Stiffler, who becomes USEMF chair-elect, Conley Nelson, who will serve as vice chairman, and Cevin Jones, who is now the organisation’s secretary-treasurer.
