JBS closes meat processor due to lack of cattle

Brazilian meatpacker and the world’s largest tannery group JBS has closed a meat plant in Rondonia due to a lack of cattle.

Reuters reported that the 267 workers were offered transfers to other cities.

In May, it closed a plant São José dos Quatro Marcos with the loss of 650 jobs.
