Nissan sets sights on China

Carmaker Nissan has established a joint venture in China to make its higher end Infiniti cars, with the aim of selling 80% more cars in the country than it did last year.

Dongfeng Infiniti, is equally owned by Nissan and Dongfeng Motor Corp, a unit of Dongfeng Motor Group.

Nissan is targeting sales of 30,000 cars this year in China. It plans to start making two Infiniti models in the country in November.
