Aeffe MD departs after 20 years with group

21/12/2021

Italian luxury group Aeffe, co-founded by designer Alberta Ferretti in 1972, recently announced the departure of its managing director, Marcello Tassinari, effective “from now”.

Mr Tassinari, who had been with the company since 2002, resigned from his role. His contract with the group will officially expire on December 31.

Relevant management and operational responsibilities will be temporarily assumed by group chief executive, Simone Badioli, Aeffe stated, as per the wishes of its board of directors. In addition to this, a new director with both company and managing director experience has newly been co-opted to the board.

Named Giancarlo Galeone, the new board member is also now one of three persons whom together make up the recently established strategic steering committee. Its other two members are Aeffe co-founder and executive president, Massimo Ferretti, plus Mr Badioli.

Commenting on the news, Mr Ferretti thanked Mr Tassinari for his “dedication and support” and wished him success in his future career. The latter will receive €900,000 (just over $1.01 million) from Aeffe early in the new year, including €890,000 in severance compensation.
