Double-digit rise for Pollini, Moschino owner
Italian luxury manufacturer and distributor Aeffe, owner of the Pollini, Moschino, Alberta Ferretti and Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini brands, recently posted its full-year 2021 revenues, revealing a year-on-year increase of 20.6% across the board.
Total turnover was reported to be €324.6 million (around $365.5 million) for the year.
Revenues for the footwear and leathergoods categories, specifically, were up 30.2% to €139.9 million ($157.5 million).
Aeffe’s ready-to-wear division was also boosted 11.5% to reach €220.2 million (roughly $248 million).
Regionally, the group posted what it described as strong acceleration in the US (+41.4%), continental European (+24.5%) and Greater Chinese (+23%) markets. It said all distribution channels showed good performance.
Group co-founder and executive chairman, Massimo Ferretti, commented: “We are satisfied with the double-digit growth in turnover and the positive contribution of all our brands, both in the wholesale and retail channels, also driven by the consolidation of our online presence.”
Mr Ferretti also reemphasised Moschino’s plans to begin operating a direct distribution model in mainland China later this year.
