At the Jinan-based event, Li Yuzhong, deputy chairman of CLIA, said although there had been environmental challenges for some Chinese tanners at the start of the year, the industry is displaying stable growth.
Medium and large businesses in the sector recorded sales of 802 billion yuan ($131 billion) and profits of 48 billion yuan ($7.8 billion), for the first eight months of the year, he said, according to the CLIA’s website.
