Hermès jumps into Zhengzhou market
Hot on the heels of hosting its first Saut Hermès show jumping competition in three years in the French capital, Parisian luxury house Hermès has cantered into the northern Chinese city of Zhengzhou to unveil its very first boutique in Henan province.

Thanks to its situation, the boutique is located close to talented artisans and “different noble materials”, Hermès said. Notably, bespoke furnishings including panels of silk wallpaper with precious metal accents and hand-woven carpets have all been created by local hands.

Found on the ground floor of the city’s David Plaza, the Hermès Zhengzhou store was designed by Paris-based architecture firm RDAI, in step with other recent openings.

Earlier in March, the brand announced plans to establish an additional two leathergoods workshops in France, taking its total number of French leathergoods factories to 24.
