MCM advances leather upcycling project
Munich-headquartered luxury leathergoods brand MCM, owned by South Korea’s Sungjoo Group since 2005, recently released its latest limited edition in its Upcycle Project series.
Made by the brand’s in-house artisans using surplus materials from previous seasons, the 22-piece collection of leathergoods and leather jackets is therefore both sustainable and waste-reducing, MCM said.
Heavy use of napa and lambskin leather is seen throughout, complete with hand-painted designs, fluorescent embroidery and Swarovski crystal studs.
