Seoul-based luxury platform sees sales rise by 75%
Local media have reported that South Korean luxury e-commerce platform Must’It saw sales of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Prada, Dior and Gucci products increase by 75% on average in 2020, compared with the previous year.
The crown for the greatest sales volume increase went to LVMH-owned Dior, which rose by 484%.
Must’It said that Gucci and Louis Vuitton were the most popular brands among male shoppers in terms of sales, while Chanel and Hermès won the most favour among its female consumers.
A spokesperson for the platform commented that an increased sense of ease about the perceived safety of online shopping had contributed to the rise, as many typically offline shoppers were forced to reconsider e-commerce while unable to shop in-store on account of the pandemic.
Must’It is currently working to enhance its aftersales service, so that it may “equal” that of a physical luxury department store in the future, the spokesperson continued.
