Lear to undergo leadership transition in 2018

The chief executive of automotive seating supplier Lear Corporation, Matt Simoncini, is to retire from his position on February 28, 2018. He will also step down as company president at that time.

His replacement will be Raymond Scott, who currently serves as president of Lear’s seating division. Mr Simoncini will remain at the company in an advisory role until the end of 2018 to assist in the transition. 

Mr Scott joined Lear in 1988 and has occupied a variety of roles including president of North American seating systems, general manager of Lear GM-Europe and vice president of operations for Lear-Saab.

Prior to taking over at the head of the company’s seating division, he served as president of its E-Systems business. He has been an executive vice president of Lear since 2011.
