Louis Vuitton goes back to its roots with new store

09/10/2017
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton opened the doors to its new store in Place Vendôme in Paris on October 4.

The store, which is to be known as Maison Louis Vuitton Vendôme, will carry the full range of Louis Vuitton products including luggage, ready-to-wear, leathergoods, shoes and accessories.

The location of the store has great symbolic significance for the brand as it was in Place Vendôme that its eponymous founder opened his first store in 1854.

At that time, Mr Vuitton’s profession was trunkmaker, a craft that he learned at workshops located in streets neighbouring the Place Vendôme square at the heart of the French capital.

In a nod to the renowned Louis Vuitton savoir-faire, the new store contains two ateliers, where “important clients” will be able to discover pieces from the brand’s latest collections. They will be able to have them fitted and personalised to their tastes.
