Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has launched an e-commerce site in China in an attempt to take advantage of the growth of the country’s luxury goods market, Reuters has reported.

The site will offer leathergoods, shoes, accessories, watches and jewellery, luggage, and perfumes.

It will initially be available in 12 cities, including Beijing and Shanghai, with more locations to be added in the future.

Louis Vuitton now operates e-commerce platforms in 11 countries. It launched its first in France, its home market, in 2005.
