Sales surge for Mercedes-Benz in first half of 2017

This result came off the back of an 11.1% increase in sales in June and means that the company set unit sales records for the month, the second quarter and the first half of 20117.
In Europe, its domestic market, Mercedes delivered 484,120 vehicles, 8.9% than during the first half of 2016. It set new records for sales in the UK, France, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland.
Asia was the region that most contributed to the strong start to the year for Mercedes. Sales increased 26.7% to 438,710, a record first-half performance. This was driven by 34.5% growth in China and 47.3% growth in South Korea.
