Record-breaking month and quarter for Mercedes-Benz

In total, it said 228,296 cars were handed over to customers, an increase of 14.8% compared to March 2016. It also marked the first time that 100,000 vehicles were sold in Europe in one month. The total of 109,237 units was an 11.8% improvement year-on-year. Sales to the Asia-Pacific region increased 23.1% to 78,649 units.
The first quarter of 2017 was also a record period for Mercedes. Sales increased 16% to 560,625 units, making it the company’s best ever quarter.
Overall, the company achieved double-digit growth in March and in the first quarter in Great Britain, Belgium, Spain, Austria and Poland. In Germany, Mercedes’s domestic market, it delivered 70,594 cars in the first quarter, an 8.9% increase on 2016.
