Mercedes adds touch of luxury to new SUV
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the world’s most expensive SUV ahead of the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show (March 9-19).

The company will build just 99 of the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, which carries a price tag of $500,000. It is the latest offering from the brand’s luxurious Maybach Marque line of vehicles.

The vehicle has a retractable roof and a V12 engine, as well as several high-tec features, including thermal cup holders and an electronic glass partition between the rear compartment and the driver’s section. Its interior is lined with high-quality leather, adding a further luxurious element to the vehicle.

“In 2015, we took the logical step of opening a new chapter in the luxury class with our Mercedes Maybach sub-brand,” said Dr Jens Thiemer, head of marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “With the Mercedes-Maybach G Class Landaulet, we are now extending the Mercedes-Maybach portfolio to include the world's most iconic and prestigious off-roader.”
