Hermès artisans showcase craft in Vancouver
Luxury brand Hermès is to showcase the craftsmanship that shoes into its products at an exhibit in Vancouver, Canada.

The “Hermès at Work” exhibit, which will take place from September 21 to 25, will allow visitors to see the brand’s artisans in action as they give live demonstrations creating scarves, handbags, saddles and jewellery.

Hermès wants the exhibit to show the humans behind its products. Visitors will be able to meet and engage with the artisans as they work. The event will take place at Jack Poole Plaza in Vancouver and is open to the public free of charge.

Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave has designed a store window display in honour of the exhibit, which depicts Hermès’s workshops in France.

Check out the August/September edition of World Leather magazine for an in-depth look at the workshops Hermès operates in France.
