Chemicals group Stahl has teamed up with Swiss carmaker Rinspeed for a driverless car concept which will be debuted at Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas this month.

The Ztos design features glow-in-the-dark leather, which it claims is a “completely new mobility experience”, and leather tanned using its chrome-free EasyWhite process.

The seat cover, dashboard, steering wheel and door panels glow when driving in the dark.

Stefan Buri, automotive marketing director at Stahl, said: “For years we have been partnering with the automotive industry. Now we are pleased to be collaborating with Rinspeed on such an important and ambitious project as the Ztos. This gives us a perfect platform to showcase our most recent technologies and innovations.”
