Stahl names new sustainability director

17/12/2015
Leather chemicals manufacturer Stahl has appointed Michael Costello as its new sustainability director, replacing leather industry veteran Mike Tomkin, who retires at the end of 2015.

Mr Costello studied chemistry at University College Dublin in the 1980s and afterwards moved to the US. He first joined Stahl in the US in 1992 and specialised in automotive and floor coatings.

Returning to Europe in 1996, he joined Stahl Iberica in Barcelona in 1996. Following a spell away from the company at the start of this century, he rejoined and became the group director of Stahl Polymers in 2005, a position he held until this recent move.

He will continue to work from Barcelona.
