Senior staff changes at BASF

Chemicals manufacturer BASF has announced management changes as a number of senior staff retire.

Dr Albert Heuser, president of Greater China and functions in Asia-Pacific, will retire on December 31 and will be replaced by Dr Stephan Kothrade, the current president of BASF-YPC.

Dr Friedrich Seitz, president of the European site and verbund management, will retire on the same date and will be replaced by Dr Uwe Liebelt, current president of project BASF 4.0.

Dr Ulrich von Deessen, president of environment, health and safety in Ludwigshafen, will retire next February and will be succeeded by Dr Beate Ehle, who was formerly president of market and business development for North America.

Dr Wolfgang Hapke, president of human resources, will also retire in February and will be replaced by Dr André Becker, president of regional functions in North America.
