The original company, the Badische Anilin & Sodafabrik (BASF) was founded in Mannheim, Germany, on April 6, 1865, with its focus on producing dyes and inorganic chemicals.
BASF has more than 100 years’ experience in producing leather chemicals and provides a product range that covers the leather-making process from beamhouse to finishing. “Working continuously on product and process development, we help our customers produce leather in a more sustainable way, [to] enable them to meet the stringent requirements set by governments and brands,” the company says.
