28/05/2015
Chemical company BASF has presented its leather trends for autumn-winter 2016 in four macro trends instead of the usual three.

‘Tradition’ values the craftsmanship and beauty of everyday elements. This trend in leather-craftsmanship is further accented by mustard, khaki green and petroleum tones with a touch of indigo. The leathers in this trend have a natural touch, some with a bit of sheen.

‘Essential’ presents a softer and warmer side, featuring pastel hues in greyish-blue, white, camel brown and pink.

‘Transgression’ comprises prints and graphic messages. This trend includes bright colours such as orange, red and yellow with bold graphics featuring a fusion of colours.

Finally, ‘Scenic’ brings baroque design packed with ornamentation. The colours in this trend are green, claret and Prussian blue.

BASF recommends the new range of Basyntan re-tanning agents together with Relugan range – solutions that combine sustainability with high performance.
