India extends hand to Botswana’s leather industry

The Indian High Commissioner to Botswana, Hemalata Bhagirath, has said India will help the African country with its ambitions to build a ‘leather park’.

During a recent meeting with the Botswana president, she said leather was one of India’s biggest exports and that the country would share know-how.

She added that an upcoming visit by Botswana’s ministers to India would enable the two countries to discuss opportunities to develop the nascent industry.
