Asia stays strong for Hermes

Hermes continued on its trajectory during over the first nine months of the year, reporting 12% sales growth compared with the same period last year to €2.9 billion.

The leathergoods specialist opened China's first Maison Hermès in Shanghai during the third quarter, which it described as part of its long-term strategy of “qualitative development of its distribution network”.

Sales in Asia grew 15% in the three months to the end of September, despite recent events in Hong Kong and the slowdown in China's luxury market.
